Bed

The bed is an ocean of endless white

Sheets heavy with lines following my soul

Imprinted still with bodies nude and light

We lie among harsh waves that swallow us whole

Don’t say a word, I plead almost unheard

Let breathless silence keep our company

And watch how hungry flames devour the world

I’ll set ablaze all the beauty I see

Among the red will just be you and me

I want it so bad I’ll forsake the stars,

Give up on things that I believe

So long as we call this small room ours.

But if you leave, would it not hurt as much

As when I lacked the safety of your touch?
